Another day, another soundtrack. So much of this seems to be tied up in contractual stuff for Warners, which famously did not end well. A Batman film used to be a big deal I guess, who was it in this one - Michael Keaton? Or was he The Joker? Ah no, Jack Nicholson, of course. I have seen it, but it didn't make a lasting impression - no Dark Knight Returns anyway. I'm not sure I 100% buy Prince as the sound of Batman either, but perhaps that's just in retrospect.

It feels somewhat more "by numbers" than the last two, but he's got less room for manouevre of course. Batdance was the big single, but even that doesn't immediately grab me. It feels distracted, still great, but perhaps there are already some rumblings of tension under the surface. And there's another OST next as well.

1989. I was probably too busy at Shady Ladies to have gone to see the film.
