The end has no end. This raises an interesting question - Taylor is the first of these where she will (almost certainly) have more material along shortly. I think I always planned this as a bit of a snapshot though. Looking at the list, she's probably the one who will have the most undocumented as the ears roll by. That's okay I think.
Evermore is very much cut from the same cloth as Folklore. That said, it doesn't seem to have the one killer song which immediately catapulted her previous album to the fore. Champagne Problems is good, and has some great lines.
Haim are a band I just don't get, a kind of gurning, female Hanson who seem to have been elevated to superstar status on the basis of not very much. Right place, right time, I guess, riding a wave of Fleetwood Mac nostalgia.
I will be really interested to see where she goes next. At some point I've no doubt there will be a bouncy, back-to-basics pop album. For now though, I think she's in a good spot. I've bought one of her albums, so she has my support, and all of the great street cred that goes with it (I still maintain Be Here Now is the best Oasis album). I think if I was - forty years younger? - I would di Taylor. And if I had a teenage kid I think I would be happy for them to listen to her music. She's a very, very clever person. I'll be singing some of these songs for some time to come - until the next Caitlin Rose album comes out, at least.
