When I first had the idea for this, Joy Division were one of the bands that sprang to mind immediately. A band I knew I should know about, but didn't. I had no idea how many albums they had, so it came as a bit of a shock to realise there were only two - and that neither contained Love Will Tear Us Apart or Atmosphere, their two "biggest hits." So by necessity, and in order to try to do some justice to the band, I'm expanding my selection somewhat - to include some of the very early New Order albums, as well as Twenty Four Hour Party People which remains one of my favourite films.

So, as with Prince, I'm taking a few liberties, but I'm genuinely looking forward to hearing the albums properly for the first time. Let's see what happens...
