I'm genuinely intrigued by this month. I guess my fear is that it turns into a kind of My Little Pony spoiled Head Girl sort of vibe, all jolly hockey sticks and pre-Raphaelite flower garlands. And The Saxophone Song does nothing to dispel that. At first glance tis is classic mid-seventies stuff, Stevie Nicks and Joni Mitchell, grand pianos, leafy suburbia and AIR studios. Is there anything beneath the surface, or is it just a kind of FM confection?

The run in the middle - Man With the Child and then Wuthering Heights - is, I suppose, indicative of what is in store for us here. The first is a kind of moody, brooding track with some real danger lurking just below the surface. The second has perhaps not aged quite as well. It has a Moonlight Shadow seriousness to it which is difficult to take too seriously. I mean, I can totally see why it would have been a monster hit. It has a Bohemian Rhapsody epic angle which I think must have suited '78 pretty well. I don't dislike it.

I think maybe an English Stevie Nicks solo album is the closest I'm getting to on this one, or maybe Carly Simon. That is categorically not a bad thing. It just doesn't have the hint of more to come, and I gather there is a lot of that. I guess she was 20 when this came out, but had already been writing and recording for almost half her life. It's impressive stuff.
