The Autumn in New York thing is killing me. It's been on a film or show that I have seen hundreds of times, but I just can't place it. Could be HIMYM, or an associated Segal/Rudd vehicle. This whole album continues the theme of what I can only describe as effortless charm. Or perhaps divine nonchalance. Song after song after song, and of course, Stormy Weather.

1956. My dad would have been 21, mum just 13. A post-war landscape. Let's put our heads together and start a new country up. It's amazing to be able to join up dots as well between some of the names here - Oscar Peterson on piano is a great example. And boy, does that piano shine.
